My Journey from Retail Pharmacy to Remote Managed Care

After nearly 10 years of working in retail, the increasing stress levels and 12 hour days on her feet were taking a toll on her body. She knew she needed to make a change but wasn't clear on what change would be best for her and when she did apply to the occasional job opening that looked promising, she wasn't getting any responses.

"....I had received an email from a career coach a long time ago, and I kept it just in case because I knew there was gonna be a day when I needed the service or not."

When doing more research on Pharmacy Career Coach to see if they could actually help her, she was pleasantly surprised when she saw a close friend of hers in the testimonials section on PCC's wesbite.

And that really gave me the confidence and the inspiration to really go for it because she's really close to me and I know she did transition out of retail, that gave me the insight that yes, this is the right investment and this is the right journey for you to go through and don't be scared of it."

Once she implemented her new job search strategy and used her new resume and cover letter, she started getting results. 

"...when I had my first interview for a couple of positions, I thought it was a fluke and I was, you know, not sure if that was actually real."

Then finally, she had the BIG BREAKTHROUGH...

"I was shaking when I got the job offer. I literally was shaking because I didn't think it would happen, and it seemed like something that would never happen because you don't, you, you don't ever hear people saying they were successful getting out of a previous pharmacy environment that they've practiced."

When asked if she thought it was an overall investment and if she'd recommend the program, she said:

"It is a wise investment and I would greatly urge anybody who is in doubt to really go for it because it does turn itself back in your life as far as like, you know, having a peace of mind, having a career that allows you with the work-life balance that you can actively actually enjoy your life and do things and be healthy. Those are things that you can't necessarily measure with money, but they do have great benefit to your overall health and well-being in the long run."
